It’s about the PROCESS.
It’s my observation that business tends to be more project-oriented, while government and non-business organizations tend to be process-oriented. This week I notice that it is the process that is being challenged in three situations. Internationally, Boeing is protesting the process used in the awarding a $40-billion contract to Northrup Grumman and EADS. Nationally, politicos in a presidential campaign are protesting the process used in rejecting Michigan and Florida delegates to the Democratic national convention. Locally, some citizens are questioning the process used in selecting the site for a civil rights museum.
